Beta Build
Here is the beta update! Since my last update, I have made some substantial progress.
First, I've made some progress on the art front. I have begun on the UI, making a menu system. If any systems see significant overhaul, then UI will see overhaul as well, but for now, things feel stable.
On art, minor, but I have made a handful of SFX sprites. The standalone character sprites, I have found, can only do so much to communicate what is happening to a character, so these handful of new sprites should help to add another level of detail.
Combat is now fully idealized in the beta. There will be more to add as development continues, but all core concepts are expressed in the combat system. For example, there are a handful of moves of each type, some locked off by fighting style. I have also tweaked the values for accuracy and dodging that make buffing your character feel necessary for making meaningful attacks.
Next steps will be to begin personalizing the UI, begin integrating sound, and hunt for bugs.
